The Sadhu Sevana Sabha Congregation was founded on September 8, 1975, in Mallussery, a small village in the northeastern part of Angamaly, within the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Kerala. It was established by Fr. Thomas Maliekal, a parish priest, along with eight members. He derived the spirit and mission of his new congregation from the Gospel. “What you have done to the least of my brethren, you have done to me”.(Mt 25:40).

Like Jesus, the nuns are anointed to proclaim the Good News to the poor, each SSS, by incarnating the spirit of the congregation, becomes a bearer of divine love and mercy to the poor, the sick, and the elderly.

Rev. Fr. Thomas Maliekal’s legacy of selfless service and dedication to the welfare of the poor and needy is truly inspiring. His commitment to transforming lives through compassion and love is a beacon for all. In line with his vision, our Congregation continues to offer services that embody his spirit of generosity and care.

To serve the Poor and Needy with the Compassionate LOVE of JESUS CHRIST.

The mission of our Congregation is to promote the salvation and redemptive love of Jesus to uplift the poor and needy people of physically, mentally and spiritually incapable especially women and children.

Our motto is to reveal God’s compassionate love to our brothers and sisters who are suffering spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
